The Park Tool CM-5.3 Cyclone uses four rotating brushes to thoroughly scrub the chain inside and out while you simply turn the cranks. Paired with Smoove Prep, it makes preparing a drivetrain for Smoove quick, effective and considerably less messy.

Unlike Park Tool's standard instructions, you don't need to fill the CM-5.3 to the marked fill line when using Smoove Prep. Prep is highly effective, so simply add enough to the bottom of the reservoir for the rotating brushes to pick it up as they turn. There's no need to waste product by filling the entire reservoir.

As the chain passes through the scrubber, the brushes work Smoove Prep into the links, helping remove old lubricant, grease and accumulated drivetrain grime. A magnet at the bottom of the reservoir attracts metallic particles removed from the chain, helping prevent them from being circulated back through the drivetrain.

A durable sponge then removes excess Smoove Prep from the chain as it exits the scrubber, helping reduce drips and mess.

Once cleaned, rinse the chain thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before applying Smoove Lube.

The CM-5.3 is compatible with virtually all bicycle-specific chains, from wide 3/16" single-speed chains through to narrow 12 and 13-speed drivetrains.
